Mr. Atkinson’s first taste of photography started around the age of ten using a ‘Kodak Brownie’.  He bought his first 35mm SLR at eighteen years of age. 
Today Glen uses digital cameras to capture amazing moments of life all around him.  He has a knack for seeing what others miss both in subject matter and
dimensional colour aspects.  This unique ability seems to bring inanimate objects to life and often reveals hidden parts of a ‘living’ subject’s personality and
character.  Glen believes that even in an empty room there is an interesting picture just waiting to be taken.

Mr. Atkinson’s work expands across many mediums.  He is an avid wood carver and soap stone artist and painter. His fascination of the ancient Haida culture
has inspired him to create his own interpretation of their interesting art form using high colour acrylic on canvas board.
